A Five-Day Photography Training Was Successfully Conducted
The Najiba Foundation successfully conducted a free five-day photography training for students. The training took place at the Najiba Library, in Nili City, the Center of Daikundi Province, from October 6 to 12, 2019. Some 25 students (male and female students) took this training which consisted of two main parts; theoretical and practical.
For the theoretical aspect, the lecturer covered the following topics:
- A brief introduction on the history of photography
- Choosing subjects
- Contexts
- Proper photographer positioning
- Importance and standards of lighting
- The usage and function of photography
- And the usage of camera and smartphones for photography
The last two days of the training were dedicated to practical works and editing the students’ assignments. The aim of conducting this training was to equip students with the necessary photographic skills to capture photos from the education sector and their educational environment. This training will empower them to monitor the education sector through photography.
The participants of this training will now be eligible to participate in Najiba Foundation’s First Educational and Cultural Annual Festival photo competition. The Najiba Foundation will award the top three with prizes and free membership to Najiba Library. The Najiba Foundation conducts short-term training and capacity building programs for youths and students in villages and rural communities.
